Patience is a virtue, and when working in a high demand industry your speed can impact your growth. For a creative the problem with that is, being able to produce on demand can be nerve wrecking when trying to build from a space that is natural and free flowing. At times it may feel like the entire world is passing you by as you struggle to find inspiration to create. Learning to become a channel for inspiration takes great balance and grace. Having the ability to not overthink, compare or even talk down on yourself in the creative process is a battle many struggle with. It could work in your favor and push you into your creative space, but for many those feelings end up blocking the creative flow and leaving a feeling of needing to fill a void when in reality nothing is missing.

Whistle while you work

Enjoying the work that you do will make the process not feel like work at all. If at some point it feels that what you are doing is not fun, it may be due to the stress attached to actually getting your desired results. Try looking for what missing from your routine and add something you love to do! Finding new ways to get the job done can spice up your work life, with any relationship there can be a point where you get bored with the daily process, that doesn't mean you throw in the towel, its just time for a revamp of energy towards your projects.

Stress Release

Make time for non work related activities while you working on major projects that focus on stress relief. Plan a meditation session, spa day or a night at your local ax throwing bar; whatever works for you. Release the extra tension that builds up when you are looking to meet deadlines. Self care should not be put to the back burner just because you are busy; make YOU as big of a priority as your project.

"Music has a power for uniting people unlike anything else. People from all over the world and different cultures can be united with the power of music, even in the workplace."- The Tabernacle Choir Blog

Training your mind to block out the noise of the world and dig into yourself is a skill set that not everyone has. I don't believe anyone is born with self mastery, it’s developed over a period of time which will probably be the end result of many failures. Your ability to rise above your fears, and old thoughts that no longer serve you will be your super power! When that pressure hits you, learn how to regroup, find your balance and no longer be bound to the worlds expectations. Think independently and trust each step, even when you feel like you’re “stuck”! That pause may be the perfect place to release what doesn’t serve you so you can move forward. Embrace the pressure, how else will you become the diamond you know you are! Trust the process and KEEP GOING 💎
