Only looking back to gather my values and lessons I'm learning to understand my experiences from a new light. Going Offline allows space to evaluate my experiences with out judgment or projection from triggering sources. Depending on what you are experiencing, going Offline and into solitude is a form a respite to clear the energy from past experiences to return with a clearer perspective. Going offline to tap into your values and manage your thoughts will help you manage your stress in healthier ways. In a perfect world you would be unbothered but the truth is life can get frustrating easily. Working on ways to express yourself can help you clear your path to create, work or just simply be. Tuning your focus to what truly matters may feel like it's not attainable without a fight. So, let's try lowering your stress by lowering guard with yourself and allowing new forms of expression to release your stress.
Getting past limiting beliefs and old mental constructs that no longer fit the new roles you have to fulfill in life. Is it possible to come to terms with the art of feeling as part of the plan? Not running from conflict/anger or sadness but rather identifying what set off those alarms from within us instead. Changing the narrative of what triggers us by viewing anger as a necessity, along with fear and then finding ways to express yourself without jail time! There are times that we need to get angry and raise our voices as a natural defense as a human being, the same way fear can be viewed as a direct signal to danger or an indicator of where you need to focus your emotional healing; all very necessary.
Emotions are useless without identifying the root cause, so take the time to pinpoint your triggers to manage them better! Check out these two writing exercises that can help you clear out your mind when practiced on the regular.
Cut the crap (10 Min exercise)
Let’s get a pen/paper and let it all out! In no particular fashion speak your mind, what's in your heart in this very moment. What are the words that you wished you could say out loud. Allow yourself to be vocal through your pen (your sword) and cut through to what you are feeling. Without any insecurity or regret, say what is on your heart and release it onto the paper.
This exercise helps to release tension and stress related to emotions and energy within us that we may have trouble communicating. Whether it be related to past situations that impacted you on an emotional level or based on daily engagements with others where you feel like your communication is limited beyond your control ( i.e work environments, school etc.)
Latched (take as long as you need)
Once you’ve accepted the feelings that have been impacting you, rather than allowing those feelings to latch onto you, set direct intentions to create a form of expression through what you’ve discovered. A song, poetry or blog post, what can you do with what you've found? How can you transmute those feelings into art?
This exercise is healing with purpose, you are now actively transmuting that situation into a tangible lesson for others to possibly digest and take heed to. Using your own personal experience as a guide that can resonate with millions in scribe. Time to go finish writing that book! That's its, that's all #KEEPGOING
